Musician Mujahid Ahmed Bello, popularly known as Fancy Gadam has revealed that he almost gave up on music after some of his fans lost their lives prior to a historical event too be recorded in the books of Ghana.
The Northern based artist we recall, lost 8 of his fans to an accident which nearly caused him to give up on music ahead of a show which had Nigerian artiste, Patoranking as the guest artiste; forcing him to postpone the event.
In June this year, 8 fans of Fancy Gadam lost their lives in Tamale on their way to meet Fancy Gadam and Nigerian artiste, Patoranking at the airport for a mega show which was scheduled for June 30th. Well, four months down after the incident, Fancy Gadam in an interview revealed that he almost gave up on music because lots of money had been invested in the concert.
“Actually it has really affected me because my manager put a lot of money into the concert. It was two times, we organized the first one and the incident happened, the second one too we spent money and the same thing happened. A lot of money went into the project, that’s roughly 300,000”, he explained.
He added that the fear of making continuous loss nearly made him quit doing music since the money that was being pumped into his career was huge and he didn’t want to disappoint any of his investors.
