Africa’s multiple award winning rapper, Michael Owusu Addo popularly known as Sarkodie has in a short video explained why this year’s Rapperholic has received such comments.
Comments from some fans and viewers on social media indicates that the annual Rapperholic concert needs a much bigger space and better organization, with others highlighting the average performance of an exhausted Sarkodie.
Well, for the good of it, the BET Award winning rapper has addressed these sensitive issues in a short video he released today. In the said video, the rapper indicated that he was in a bad shape for the concert but didn’t want to disappoint fans hence had to stage the show which under normal circumstance should have been postponed – something his fans would have been disappointed in.
Rapperholic has outgrown its current home, the Accra International Conference Centre and the rapper has revealed that there is the need to scout a new event centre which he is working on to stage the event which has become a ‘national treasure’ next year.
On his performance, the rapper indicated that he had a sore throat prior to the event and was over exhausted after supporting other artists at their various events.
He however didn’t fail to acknowledge the media houses that helped him during his media tour in the quest to promote his event, the Rapperholic Concert.
