There have been several reports on various news portals on one Dubai business woman who claims she has invested so much into Ghanaian artiste, King Promise‘s career only to be ignored by the artiste.
In recent reports, a business woman who bears the name Yasmin Behzadi has broken loose after losing patience in her hideout following recent developments on how far King Promise has come and how ungrateful he has been to her after all she has done for her.
The said lady in an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz Fm revealed that she has a three-year deal with King Promise, explaining that the contract is a 36o contract, which means it covers the artiste’s studio sessions, publicity and clothing, out of which a percentage of returns will go to her as an investor, per their agreed-upon contract.
However, it appears King Promise, has decided to turn deaf ears on the actual concerns of Yasmin who is known to be behind the success of Sark’s clothing line. In reaction to Yasmin’s claims, a press release from the Ghanaian artiste’s camp indicated that their artiste(King Promise) was treated like a puppet and was on several occasions called a waste product which forced him to leave.
Well, the release didn’t go down well with the business woman, a disappointed Yasmin Behzadi, reacting to a press release by the musician, rubbished accusations that she called him “a waste product” forcing him to leave her label.
“How can I be calling him a waste product…a product I believed in and invested some much money in?”, the businesswoman quizzed.
We captured that the woman told Andy Dosty of Hitz FM on Friday that after signing King Promise, she made him change his name from Boy P to King Promise. She also set up YB Records to help project his music brand.
To cap it all, she spent $150,000 on music video shoots in Dubai and other promotional expenses.
However, King Promise has mentioned in his statement that Yasmin’s decision to spend any high amount of money on him was born out of her own profligate lifestyle.
“Her claims of spending $150,000 was due to her own unilateral decisions and luxurious lifestyles, even if she indeed has spent that much,” he stated.
Yasmin is tired of pulling the strings after revealing that she has made several attempts to resolve it amicably but all her attempts have come to no avail hence her last point of call is to take the artiste and his management to court in the coming days.
“We are going to meet in court…if you want to be greedy….then the only option is to go to court,” she threatened.
Yasmin, forwarded to Andy Dosty, text messages King Promise allegedly sent to her on Nov 8, 2016, in which he promised buying her a car as a gratitude for all her investments.
In the said message, the musician acknowledged what she had done for him and told her not to feel he was cutting her off.
