Musician Sherifa Gunu is crying sour over the choice by djs and presenters to play songs from a selected group of artistes while neglecting others.
The 2012 VGMA Traditional Artiste of the year, Sherifa Gunu claims the radio stations don’t play her songs though she shares the files with them.
The female musician was speaking in an interview on Written in the stars on Joy Prime said she is struggling with making her career a better one here in Ghana.
“The music is becoming a way like if you are not doing it this way, they don’t see you, they don’t like you. Even most of the times you can share your songs and take it to djs and presenters to play it for you. They play it the first day, the next day they pack it”, she lamented.
The good news here is Sherifa said in the interview that inspite of all these sidelines, she is not giving up since she thinks she is doing better outside Ghana.
Well, it is true that the kind of music the female artiste is doing in Ghana is very very difficult for the masses to relate. What do you also think? Leave a comment
