Female Nigerian Gospel music singer, songwriter, and senior worship leader at Believers’ Loveworld International, Sinach has revealed she can’t sing any Ghanaian song, and her reason was surprising.
The Nigerian singer, Osinachi Joseph popularly known for short as Sinach is in Ghana for the second edition of Women in Worship concert slated for September 20 at the Perez Dome in Accra.
At a press conference at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Accra on Monday, September 17 ahead of the event on Thursday. One would expect that the renowned gospel singer would be able to sing at least one gospel song from a Ghanaian artsite, at least one from Joe Mettle or even Cece Twum, but the opposite happened.
During the event the MC asked the “I Know Who I Am” hitmaker to sing any Ghanaian song she has heard or knows, to our surprise she said she does not know any Ghanaian song hence cannot sing it.
When asked which artist in Ghana she mostly listens to and which of them she would love to work with on a track, she failed to mention any. She explained that “I don’t have names and that does not mean I don’t know names.”
The discussion of Ghanaians responding to anything Nigeria with Nigerians not giving a hoot about Ghanaian musicians has been ongoing for some time now and this affirms that most Ghanaian musicians are not working hard for their songs and brand to be known out there in Nigeria.
