After two years of working together, music label SarkCess Music and rapper Strongman have parted ways.
The label, owned by award-wining rapper Sarkodie, signed the Strongman in March 2017 with the aim of helping marketing his enormous talent.
In an interview with Joy Fm presenter George Quaye, Sarkodie has cleared the air about his label parting ways with Strongman.
The fans and the media played a part in our decision making when it came to Strongman. It was a mutual agreement that we had to part ways.
I want to open up to a lot of industry people but I feel that when their expectation is not met they will feel bad.
We built our numbers from the streets before we came on radio.
Before the expiration of their contract some had suggested that Strongman was not given enough attention to shine under the record label – a statement he came out to refute.
Describing Strongman as a phenomenal artiste, Sarkodie’s label believed strongly that it has, during their time together, enhanced the young rapper’s brand.
