Fred Nuamah speaks about Ghana Movie Awards still with Zylofon Media

Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Ghana Movie Awards, Fred Nuamah has revealed that, the Ghana Movie Awards is still working with Zylofon Media, confirms.

The award, which is held annually to recognise excellence in the Ghanaian movie industry, is one of the biggest nights in Ghana’s entertainment calendar, which sees many patrons across the country attending.

However, the GMA was put on hold after the 2016 ceremony, and no reasons were given.

This was after Zylofon Media came out with an announcement in July 2017 that it had taken over the organisation of the Ghana Movie Awards.

Media reports that followed the takeover indicated that Zylofon Media will organise the awards for the next 10 years starting from 2017.

Yesterday, reported that, the Ghana Movie Awards has opened submissions which closes November 25.

In a phone conversation had with the CEO of Ghana Movie Awards, Fred Nuamah said the Ghana Movie Awards is still working hand in hand with Zylofon Media as they announced in July 2017.

“We are blood and Zylofon is still on with us. We are going to make this years awards great and better.” Fred Nuamah indicated.

“We expect nothing but the best this year. We have been in existence 8 years now and I think we know our falls and we hope to correct them and make the event a wonderful one”. Mr Fred Nuamah continued in the phone conversation with Jibriel of

Organizers of this years Ghana Movie Awards have opened submissions for filmmakers across the country to submit their movies respectfully for their movies to be nominated for the awards.

The Ghana Movie Awards is an event to recognize excellence by annually honoring achievements of actors, writers, directors, producers, technicians and other professionals in the film making industry of Ghana and the rest of Africa.
