GPRTU, Trotro, Coronavirus

Ghana has currently recorded its 7th case of coronavirus as of March 17, 2020 and as the pandemic gets scarier by the day, the Chairman of the Ghana Private Road and Transport Union (GPRTU), Kwame Kuma has banned preaching in buses.

The GPRTU boss observed that these preachers spit droplets of saliva into the atmosphere when preaching which doesn’t augur well in the midst of the dangerous coronavirus which has killed thousands of people worldwide. He made the call during a radio interview on Accra based Starr FM.

He also asked passengers not to engage in unnecessary political debates while in commercial vehicles (trotro).

He also asked

My advice to passengers is that they should stop engaging in unnecessary arguments and debate when they are in commercial transport and rather have them when they go home.
