‘Ex porn’ Ghanaian soul, afrobeat and hip hop musician, Michael Takyi-Frimpong popularly known as Lord Paper has annulled speculations that he has given his life to Christ to do gospel.
The renowned North K artiste was recently in the news for giving his life, after photos of himself and Bishop Charles Agyin Asare popped up on social media. This followed up with the artiste calling on his fans to delete explicit videos that featured him from their phones.
We all thought the ‘porn musician’ has finally given his life to Christ and joined the Gospel fraternity since he recently released a gospel tune dubbed ‘Fa Me Ye’, but it appears the artiste is still in the ‘porn business’.
In an interview with Andy Dosty on Daybreak Hitz yestereday, the gone viral ‘Awurama’ singer stated categorically that he hasn’t repented but rather rebranded from what we all know him for (nudity) to something better.
“It is more of rebranding, i am just cutting off the nudity part of Lord Paper. I have not been called by God so i can’t be a prophet or anything right now. Now I am practicing Christianity more”, he answered Andy Dosty who asked if he has repented.
According to Lord Paper, his mother questioned his brand when his ‘Awurama’ video popped up and when other disturbing publications by the media went viral. He added that due to the taunting image that has been painted by people who don’t pay close attention to his lyrics. The discussion with his mum fueled his decision to rebrand and meet Agyin Asare – who was recommended to him by a friend.
The singer also revealed that his mother loves his songs!
