Ghanaian rapper Guru has responded to Kuami Eugene’s recent claims on Adom TV regarding why he declined to do a song with Guru.
A few months ago, Guru said in media interviews that Kuami Eugene had not availed himself for collaboration and he figured a rift he had with Kuami’s boss Richie Mensah of Lynx Entertainment may have caused this.
In Kuami’s recent interview with Adom FM, he said he could not have done the song with Guru when he was going about insulting his boss.
“Guru did not use the right channel. You want to feature me but you go to media houses to insult the man who made me. I wouldn’t have been Kuami Eugene but for Richie so I expect that respect is accorded him no matter the differences that exist. I am under Lynx Entertainment and any song I produce needs to go through them,” he explained.
In a recent interview with Andy Dosty of Hitz Fm, Guru stated that, his manager was the one who linked Lynx Entertainment act Kuami Eugene to get his “Adonko” deal.
The musician went ahead to state that, he was with Lynx Entertainment years back but not as an artiste signed on the label.
I was even with Lynx Entertainment. Not necessarily an official artiste but I was with them.” He mentioned.
