Idris Elba has finally inked down a deal to play the main villain in “Hobbs and Shaw,” the “Fast and Furious” spinoff which stars Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.
It is reported that, Chris Morgan is brain who penned the script for the film, that has started filming in the autumn. David Leitch is on directorial duties for this movie as he did for Deadpool 2.
Johnson posted an image on his Instagram account this afternoon, revealing Elba as the film’s “killer”, Brixton. Idris Elba also confirmed the news by posting same picture on his instagram with caption;
The name: BRIXTON.
The record: UNDEFEATED.

According to source, details on the film’s plot remain under wraps, however, the film is set to feature an unlikely team-up between Johnson’s Hobbs and Jason Statham’s Deckard Shaw after the franchise breakout’s discovered an undeniable chemistry in The Fate of the Furious.
We are told that, Hobbs & Shaw will hit theaters August 2, 2019.
