Highlife artist Kumi Guitar, has revealed that, dancehall act Stonebwoy kept distance when he released “Gyae” which was referred to as a diss song to Stonebwoy.
According to the “Problem” hitmaker, after the release of the song, most Ghanaians including fans of the Stonebwoy got pissed and used that to bully him on social media.
Kumi took aim at Stonebwoy for releasing a song against their record label Zylophone media. He accused Stonebwoy of being ungrateful after all the label had done for him.
Kumi revealed that, Stonebwoy personally ignored him when he tried coming close to the Bhim President days after the diss song was released.
“Don’t come close to me… you are not my friend… I hate pretenders. Go back go back…” Kumi Guitar revealed.
Speaking to Andy Dosty on DayBreak Hitz on Hitzfm, Kumi said his diss song to Stonebwoy didn’t go well for him because he was bashed left to right. He disclosed that, the content of the song was not to tarnish the image of Stonebwoy but was to keep the industry going.
“People do not criticize my songs. They focus on my looks. instead.” He disclosed.
“With the kind of job you do, you won’t be able to run away from insults and criticisms” Kumi added.
The “Trouble” hitmaker mentioned that, he was warned by Zylofon Media for releasing “Gyae” without the notice of the label.
“Gyae” wasn’t released on the ticket of Zylofon Media. They called me and expressed the consequences that I may suffer for repeating such an act. I was pardoned because it was devoid of insults”.
