Maame Ama Anima, who was pregnant for five months before been sentenced to jail for 5yrs has been released, given an apartment and a shop as compensation.
The Crime Check foundation which is been led by Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng on 21st July, broke the news to the public which involved Maame Ama Nima who was 5 months pregnant and was imprisoned for assault of which she found guilty and was sentenced to serve 5yrs in prison.
According to the pregnant woman, she found her husband in bed with another lady. During the confrontation she hit the lady with her slippers and that led to her arrest. The pregnant woman, Maame Ama Anima, was fined GHS3400, failure to pay, she would serve 5yrs in prison.
The pregnant woman however failed to pay her fine, hence was made to serve her jail term at the Kumasi Central Prison.
Well, after Ibrahim Oppong Kwarteng of Crime Check Foundation posted the about Ama Nima’s ordeal, Ghanaians came to her aid and raised funds to secure her release.
After her release, Crime Check Foundation used part of the money to rent a flat at Accra for her and paid in advance for 4 years.
They also used the remaining part to get a shop and stocked it with items for her to feed on with her child and unborn baby.
