The CEO of Boss Nation Music, Kwadwo Nkansah Lil Win after being accused by Andy Odarky of Mentor Season One fame of stealing his song ‘Ayeyi’, has reacted to these claims.
A press statement that was issued by Andy, who is the CEO and founder of Firehouse Music threatened to drag Lil Win and his team at Weezy Empire to court, if the right thing is not done. According to the press release, Andy is the writer of the song ‘Ayeyi‘ hence Lil Win should stop promoting and claiming ownership of the song.
The CEO of Firehouse Music has revealed that the Weezy Empire boss is claiming ownership of the song by uploading it in his name and making Andy a featured artiste which is not what they had agreed on earlier.
Andy told Sammy Flex in an interview on Zylofon FM that Weezy Empire label proposed to sign him on the condition that he will team up with the Boss of Weezy Empire on a new song. But all these never happened and the proposal has taken a different direction with Weezy releasing the song and video in his name adding Andy as a featured artiste.
“Lil Win can’t write songs… all the songs he’s released were written by others. He told me he’ll sign me on to the Weezy Empire label then Boss Nation but he never fulfilled his promise. We both agreed that because he (Lil Win) can’t pen down the contract, I should do it so we both sign but I told him it is not done that way so let’s all sit down and do it together. Lil Win started avoiding me and wasn’t inviting me for shows. I was surprised when I saw the release of the song and video on other music platforms.” Andy told Sammy Flex earlier
Well, in response to this, Lil Win annulled the allegations that were leveled against him by the CEO of Firehouse Music. He indicated that he has helped and provided Andy Odarky the space he needed to showcase his talent but it was always a disgrace to his personality.
Kojo Nkansah made a shocking revelation on the same radio station in an interview with Sammy Flex. He revealed that he has gone to the extent of paying an amount of Ghc1,500 as bribe to police officers just so they free Andy who was arrested by these Police Officers after he was caught with marijuana. His intervention saved the accuser’s sorry ass from jail.
Kojo Nkansah told his side of the story, explaining that he wrote the song and featured Andy to help resurrect his career.
“Andy only added the chorus to the song I have done and not the owner of the song. I saw Andy as someone who was struggling in the industry, so I offered to help by giving him same platforms I was billed to perform. I cut ties with Andy Odarky because of his wee smoking behaviour. He made me paid over 15million to police officers who arrested him for possessing wee. I’ve never signed or have a vision to sign the young artistes following me on to Weezy Empire” Lil Win told Sammy Baah Flex
