Actress and activist, Lydia Forson has thrown shades at the sitting government for borrowing without conscience after heavily criticizing the NDC government when they(NPP) were in opposition.
The one of the golden rules of Money states that don’t spend more than you earn, but the current Government seems to be spending more than they have and have gone to the extent of borrowing huge sums of money from China.
Miss Lydia Forson, in a post on twitter, said even in her personal life she knows she does not need to borrow for pea-brained expenditures when she’s broke, but the government of Ghana somehow does not have this common sense.
There were recent reports in the news, which is all about the government of Ghana taking a $50bn, 100 year loan facility from the China.
The big mouth actress in response to that and other economic issues, took to twitter to condemn the crazy raft of borrowing and spending on ‘nugatory’ things.
She wrote: When I’m broke I try to live within my means, I only buy what I NEED and not what I WANT. I won’t “free” a Gucci bag to pay later; Ha am I MAD?! But in Ghana, the broker the country is the more we borrow and the more we spend on frivolous things. Ok oh.
