Minister explains why Nana Addo didn’t ban the operations of Night Clubs


Ghanaians were marveled after the president, President Akuffo Addo suspended public gatherings including church activities but failed to ban the activities of night clubs.

Among the gatherings suspended according to president Nana Addo are church services, weddings, funerals, other social gatherings.

However, deputy minister of Information, Pius Enam Hadzide, in an interview with Omanhene Yaw Adu Boakye on Kessben FM disclosed why the president didn’t ban the operations of night clubs.

Speaking in the interview, he noted that such places were not suspended because people visit there with their own choice unlike the other social gatherings like schools.

“Night clubs and other places, people go there with their own choice unlike schools which is must for students,” he said.

Additionally, he advised that, for their wellbeing and safety, people should stop going to such places and also pleaded that for the interest of the country’s safety and protection, Ghanaians should pay heed to the measures the president has given out.
