The Hon. Member of Parliament for Sissala West Constituency, Mohammed Adams Sukparu has donated hundred (100) bags of cement to the Jawia community to complete their health facility.
The facility is a community initiative to construct a health center for the community and other surrounding villages to help with health-related issues. This was done as part of the MP’s quest to improve the health care in the constituency as promised during the electioneering time. This event took place simultaneously with his “Thank-you” tour of the constituency.
The community started this project without any government support because the current CHPS compound according to members it is too small to contain patients.
Hon. Mohammed Adams Sukparu made a clarion call on other communities to emulate the unity and volunteerism of Jawia in fighting for development. He again promised them to furnish the facility once it is completed.
The Assembly Member for Jawia -Lipleme Electoral area Mr. Salifu Gbemmie on behalf of the community thanked the honorable MP for the honor done. He also requested that the MP should help the community by lobbying for street lights to the health facility as well as construct a feeder road of 100meters from the main road to the health facility.
