Ghanaian hip life singer, Gregory Bortey Newman, popularly known in the music fraternity as King Promise has aired that collaborating with Sarkodie and Mugeez was a miracle.
For any budding artiste getting Mugeez(a demigod) on a song to drop a chorus was a blessing, to the extent of having the highest rapper(Sarkodie) on the same song is an envious height.
Well, according to King Promise, often tagged as the ladies’ man, he was overwhelmed and graced to have had two top artistes in the Ghanaian music industry to feature on his 2018 breakthrough song, ‘CCTV’.
The song which talks about how every hustler should believe in their dreams and believe in God has gained the needed attention due to it friendly lyrics.
In an interview with host of Ofie Kwanso, Jerry Justice on Adom Fm, King Promise revealed that working with the two was a dream come true.
“I was gonna take a break from the studio and Mugeez walked in and jumped on the song. Later we thought about putting Sark on the song. I never imagined doing a song with these two artistes. I was supposed to see Sark so he gave his verse after listening to it. He is super busy so he did it quickly…” King Promise told Jerry Justice.
CCTV currently has 2.2m views on YouTube and is one of King Promise’s best songs after ‘Selfish’ and ‘Oh Yeah’
