Coke Studio Africa has this month unveiled a list of up to 25 musicians and producers for the 2019 Edition of the Coke Studio Africa after another successful launch of the continent’s grandest music making school in Nairobi-Kenya.

This year, No Ghanaian music heavyweight made it on the list when the Coca-Cola Company released the list.

According to channelforafrica.com, the performers and sound creators were drawn from Nigeria, Kenya, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Mozambique, Ethiopia and a few other sub-saharan nations tasked with creating near-spontaneous creative music fusions from improvised renditions of existing songs, retrospective hits and original compositions.

Multiple award-winning Kenyan rapper, Khaligraph Jones, Tanzanian BET Award winner Rayvanny, and Nigerian music stars Skales and Rudeboy [formerly of P Square] were the names which had a second-term appearance.

Others are Uganda’s Fik Fameica and King Shasha, Kenyan sensation Moji Short Baba, and Ethiopian songstress Mahlet, along with seasoned crooners Bisrat, Abush Zekele, Yared Negu and Rophnan Nuri all churning out tunes to beats flavored with a Western African grove from celebrated music producer, Gospel On De Beat.

Production for the 2019 Coke Studio Africa is still ongoing, with artistes teaming up as temp duos and trios to create next generation afro rhythms on creations from some of the continent’s leading music producers.

The gallery will also include more than 10 original and exciting compositions celebrating different musical genres and literature along with a unique Coke Studio Africa playlist for December’s yuletide. Coke Studio is surely early with the Christmas gift and definitely given everyone a reason to be impatient for next year.
