Leading PR & Rating firm, Avance Media, has announced the 7th edition of the 50 Most Influential Young Ghanaians.
The ranking which was announced on 28th February 2022 lists young Ghanaians excelling in various sectors such as sports, entertainment, leadership, social entrepreneurship, business etc.
Notable names on the list from entertainment include Ghanaian standup comedian cum optometrist, OB Amponsah who made a first appearance along with the likes of the sensational Black Sherif and the “Forever” hitmaker Gyakie.
OB Amponsah expressed his profound gratitude to Avance Media and took advantage of the opportunity to tell the world he was a brand plucked out of fire and also stated that the best was yet to come.
This recognition is coming off from the comedian’s laurels in the year 2021 where he got a feature on CNN’s African Voices Changemakers, hosted the 3 music awards, hosted his 3rd comedy special at the National theater and also his position as the host of two primetime entertainment shows; The half serious show on GHOne TV and The WMT show on Pluzz 89.9 FM.
Also known for being opinionated and a bit edgy in a lot of his materials and joke routines, the comedian has an appreciable number of following which keeps soaring day in day out as new fans begin to appreciate his works.
In media, Wode Maya, Zion Felix, Anita Akuffo, Berla Mundi and others were noted for their outstanding contribution in the year under review.
In announcing the list, MD of Avance Media, Prince Akpah, noted that the stories of the individuals in this year’s list are worth emulating by young Ghanaians who are passionate about contributing to the development and image of the country Ghana.
He also admonished the honoured young Ghanaians to channel their resources in mentoring young people by giving them directions as they have become a symbol of hope for the country and the continent.
