Emmanuel Nii Adom Quaye aka Strika has recently received an award for his role in the popular movie “Beast of No Nation”.
Strika was seen receiving a special award in the name of his outstanding role acted in the famous movie.
The young actor posted on his social media page with lots of words thanking the NGO behind the award (Helping Hand International) for recognizing him.
“It matters not how strong a person is or how alone a person can stand, sometimes in life, you need someone to look at you in the eye and say “YOU DID GOOD”. This citation from Helping Hand International (HHI) has really given me some inner strength and encouragement to do more as an actor and a Ghanaian.
This is the FIRST time I am receiving such honor after #BONN came out. It tells me that I haven’t been forgotten, it tells me that people will not just ask for photographs with me and walk away and pretend they don’t no me the next time we meet. As a young boy growing up, I wish I would be appreciated more by society and given more love to strengthen me to keep pushing hard.
Thank you Helping Hand International for this honor, forever I will remember.” He posted.
Striker wishes to drop out of school and get into apprenticeship, the managers believe he still needs to get some classroom education.
Beasts of No Nation is a 2015 American war drama film written, co-produced and directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, who acted as his own cinematographer, about a young boy who becomes a child soldier as his country goes through a horrific war.
Shot in Ghana and starring Idris Elba, Abraham Attah, Ama K. Abebrese, Grace Nortey, David Dontoh, and Opeyemi Fagbohungbe, the film is based on the 2005 novel of the same name by Uzodinma Iweala ― the book itself being named after a Fela Kuti album.
