Rapper Desmond Kwesi Blackmore known as D-Black is one of Ghanaian rappers and Entertainment business moguls to be featured on Forbes Africa magazine.
Forbes Africa sat down with Ghana’s most successful music mogul Desmond ‘D-Black’ Blackmore. According to Forbes Africa, artist, CEO, entrepreneur and philanthropist Desmond Kwesi Blackmore known as D-Black, has broken boundaries in his 9 years in the entertainment industry.
From releasing hit records, being nominated and winning awards, performing around the world, leading the nightlife scene with his creation ‘Club Onyx’, his revered Record Label ‘Black Avenue Muzik’, producing concerts across Ghana via his Livewire Events company.
Earlier today, rapper D Black has joined the list of artistes complaining about how little royalties from the Ghana Music Rights Organisation (GHAMRO) are.
Speaking on Hitz Hightable on Friday, the rapper said the monies given to artistes as royalties cannot by champaign in his club.
“In 2016 someone called me from there and told me all the A list artiste and producers had 600 cedis each with them so I should send my mobile money number,” he explained.
