Samini Leaves Shatta Wale Out Of Top Three Performers In Ghana

Emmanuel Andrews Samini

Multiple Award-winning reggae and dancehall artiste, Samini has named his top three performers in Ghana but failed to include Ghana’s dancehall king, Shatta Wale.

You can never take Shatta Wale off the bill. He is a show killer and an artiste who comes on stage with lots of energy. On any day if an event organizer needs three or two artistes to put on a bill, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, aka Shatta Wale will be one of the names/artistes that will come up in mind.

One would say that Shatta Wale is arguably the cheer leader when it comes to performances but that is not the case per Samini’s list.

In an interview with Lexi Bill on joy Fm, Samini listed his top three performers in Ghana but failed to add Shatta Wale to his list.

On Behind The Fame on drive time show on JOY FM, the ‘My Own’ hit maker was asked if he was concerned about the fact that his once vibrant music career has taken a nosedive. As a reaction, he stated that he is comforted with the fact that he is part of the top three Ghanaian performers who put Ghana on the highest pedestal any day.

“It’s usually a phase in your career where you launch land, so that everybody has a feel of you. Then you become established, then you look at how your performance is like and how much more demand will be for you as and when there is a big bill”, he said.

According to Samini, when there’s going to be a big event in Ghana, the organizers in Ghana always consider him as one of the headline artistes because he is one of the best performers in Ghana.

“I mean if you are going to call the first three names in this country for a serious bill, to perform and represent Ghana properly, ill cross my legs at home but I know that call will come through”, he told Lexis Bill

“If we are doing a concert and I have a list of performers, I will put Myself, Stonebwoy and Sarkodie”, he concluded.

He revealed that the new crop artistes have given the industry lots of contents and he is happy with how far the industry has come. He added that the industry has become better than it was before.
