Celebrity and lifestyle blogger, Ameyaw Debrah, has stated on record that even though dancehall star Shatta Wale has arguably the biggest star power and fan base, he is not the most influential entertainer in Ghana.

Ameyaw Debrah made the comment while speaking in an exclusive interview with Eugene Osafo Nkansah of Nkonkonsa fame.

The top blogger indicated that if he had to really select the most influential entertainer, he would pick Sarkodie ahead of Shatta Wale.

Ameyaw Debrah went on to explain that to him influence was not about being notorious and doing things to the extreme to get attention.

In making a case for his choice, Ameyaw noted that Sarkodie has maintained his brand on all platforms and carved such a niche for himself that makes him stand out.

Ameyaw, however, indicated that if he had to look at the whole Ghana and make a pick, even Sarkodie would not make his top 3 most influential people.

He settled on Jackie Appiah, Yvonne Nelson, John Dumelo, Sarkodie, and Shatta Wale in that order as his top 5 most influential personalities.

The lifestyle blogger intimated if the list has to go beyond five picks, he would add, Stonebwoy, Nana Ama McBrown, and Joselyn Dumas.

When quizzed why no media personality was named in the list, Ameyaw Debrah indicated that personalities in the media were not necessarily entertainers because the likes of Sark and co had their job cut out for them.

Among many other things, Ameyaw Debrah revealed why he decided to blacklist Shatta Wale for the past 6 years and still counting.
