Keche Joshua of hiplife group, Keche, has disagreed with CEO of Asuoden Music, Pope Skinny for saying he is going to resurrect rap and that he is the best rapper in Ghana.
In the month of July, Pope Skinny was everywhere proving to Ghanaians how good he is at rap. He was able to tell Ghanaians he is the best man to take Ghana rap high, claiming the likes of Sarkodie have become singers instead of focusing on rap.
Pope Skinny also claimed the bragging rights and went ahead to say he is the best rapper in Ghana.
Well, Keche Joshua of Keche fame disagreed with Pope Skinny and he isn’t changing his mind on that. In an interview with Andy Dosty on Hitz Fm yesterday, Keche Joshua lashed Pope Skinny verbally.
He advised Pope Skinny to stop making such utterances, according to Joshua, people rap along whenever he is performing his raps on stage, on the other hand, only a handful of people are able to rap along when Pope Skinny is raping and that does not make Pope Skinny a best rapper.
“I will never change my mind because it has been on my mind for a long time. Seriously I have a problem with what Pope Skinny said, I don’t think he is the best rapper in Ghana, he should stop that. If you are a best rapper in Ghana you have to prove us wrong. Pope Skinny can be on stage, I don’t see 2000 fans doing all his rap, but I can be on stage and see like 10,000 fans doing my rap from A to Z. So what makes you a good rapper?”, he quizzed.
Joshua further disclosed that he has a problem with Vodafone Music Awards organizers for refusing to award rappers in Groups. He cited examples like Captain Planet of 4×4, Kente of Praye fame, himself and Okyeame Akwame who only won an award when he became a solo artiste.
