Chief drummer for the black stars of Ghana, Joseph Langabel has revealed that he is the great teacher behind Asamoah Gyan’s dancing skills that he has long been hailed for.
One would always laud langabel for one thing, his confidence, how he has mastered and engineered his own version of the queen’s language.
With less roles in footballing activities, Langabel hasn’t been heard of that much. But the chief drummer for Black Stars of Ghana has revealed that the famous dance by Asamoah Gyan in the ‘African Girls’ music video by Castro was engineered by him.
The regular guest on Joy FM’s weekend city show described the black stars striker as a great man and disclosed that he gave Asamoah Gyan some dance lessons while in camp, he said this in an interview with E with Becks on Joy Prime.
“There are so many dances in the system, we have kpanlogo, we have free lifestyle. I am the one who taught Asamoah Gyan how to dance, and gave him some dance steps; he is my boy”, he told Becks.
He nulled the facts that Asamoah Gyan stole the dance from him and never gave him the credit for what he had done for the black stars skipper.
“He gave me credit, that’s why he mentioned my name in the song, ‘Langabel Langabel, you the best among the rest‘. He and Castro made the music, we produced that song in Holland, that’s why they mentioned that I am the best”, he added.
The black stars will be playing the AFCON qualifiers without Asamoah Gyan, but that will mean Langabel will come back to action with his drumming skills.
