Fella Makafui, 23, is a Ghanaian actress and a philanthropist. Fella had always wanted to be in the entertainment industry and started nursing that dream right in secondary school. She attended the Kpando Senior High School, where she did General Arts as a course and was the Entertainment prefect because of her love for entertainment.
She was born and raised in Anfoega Akukome in the Volta Region. Before her fame, Fella Makafui was a model and a nudist
She then attended the University of Ghana but reports according to Asembi.com says she dropped out of the school because she was unable to focus on her academics because of acting.
Fella Makafui became a household name when she was featured in the popular TV series YOLO (You Only Live Once). She played the role as Serwaa, a naive village girl who had come to the city to sell bread to make ends meet. She spoke bad grammar as Serwaa and it caught on with many people. Her relationship with one of the lead characters, Drogba also made lots of people develop an interest in her.
After YOLO, she has featured in a couple of movies as well, popular among them is Kada River. She was also featured in a movie titled ‘Once Upon A Family’ in which Nigerian Actress Mercy Johnson played the lead role in. Fella Makafui’s Awards As An Actress
Fella Makafui won her first award as an actress at the City People Entertainment Awards 2016 as the Most Promising actress in Ghana. That same year, she won her second award as the Most Promising Actress again at the 2016 Golden Movie Awards.
She also won the third award that same year but it’s skipped as at the time of publication. Earlier this year in May, Fella Makafui was honored by law students union of the Kings University College at their awards and dinner night for being a great actress and a philanthropist.
Fella Makafui’s Endorsement Deals
Fella Makafui has three endorsement deals. She was signed first by a Sanitary pad company called airee pads in February as their brand ambassador.
Then in May 2018, she won another endorsement deal with Davies Palace and Spa. Then in June, Fella Makafui was signed by Kasapreko to be the brand ambassador for their Carnival Strawberry drink under the Kasapreko brand. It was reported that she got some Ghc100,000 plus from this deal.
