Tracy Sarkcess made the news this morning when she issues a very strong warning to Ghanaian bloggers. Tracy was not happy about the development and made her displeasure known.
The wife of Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie was responding to a news report in which had stated that she had become ‘plus-size’ after she appeared in public for the first time after a long while.
According to Sarkodie’s wife, the reports of body-shaming were disrespectful and she had to address the publication by the news portal. ” For y’all to weight-shame me 6 months after having a baby is not cool,” she wrote.
The mother of two continued that ” and the most upsetting thing is that the write-up was done by a woman! Do you know what it takes to go through 2 pregnancies and child-rearing? Especially in COVID lockdown and the PPD that comes with it? ”
Yen.com.gh has issued an apology to the mother of two for their comment.
“YEN.com.gh writes to apologise to Mrs Tracy Owusu Addo, the wife of award-winning rapper Sarkodie who is popularly known as Tracy Sarkcess, over our recent article about you.
The article titled ‘Sarkodie’s wife Tracy Sarkcess becomes ‘obolo’ after birth of second child’ and published on Monday, September 28, 2020, made reference to a seeming increase in your weight.
We admit that the expression ‘obolo’ could have been done away with for the story to focus on the fact that you had stepped out for first time in a while as the story had intended to put across.
We, therefore, apologise unreservedly for any injuries that our story might have caused you.
Since your grievance came to our attention, we have deleted the story from our website and social media pages.
Once again, we are sorry for the trauma caused you by our report. It was a genuine mistake and not an intentional write up to ridicule you”.
Thanks for reading today’s news from GHKasa and we urge you to spread this news across the various social media networks and do follow us on our social media platforms as well on; Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, Instagram, and more for the latest news over the web.
