Dzata Foundation Commissions Classroom Block for Ahwiam D/A Basic School
The Dzata Foundation, a non-profit organization that provides educational and other support to underprivileged children in Ghana, has commissioned a 4-unit classroom block for the Ahwiam D/A Basic School in the Ningo-Prampram District.
The ceremony, which took place on Monday, May 8, 2023, was attended by the foundation’s founder, Hon. Samuel Nartey George, as well as the school’s headmaster, officials of GES, teachers, students, and parents of the Ningo-Prampram constituency.
Addressing the public, the CEO of the Foundation Mrs. Vera George expressed her delight to have been able to partner with the MPs Office to execute this flagship project and indicated plans to begin work on a 6-unit classroom block in the Prampram D/A Basic School and playgrounds in the Afienya, Mataheko, Mangotsonya and Lekpongunor Government schools.
The headmaster expressed his gratitude to the foundation for the kind gesture. He said that the new classroom block would go a long way in improving the quality of education at the school.
The project which was 45% completed as of September 2022 when the Foundation took it over was built to ease congestion in the existing facilities. The facility has two (2) air-conditioned teachers’ offices, 4 spacious classrooms with white marker boards, and 50″ smart 4K TVs for interactive learning materials. It also has reading corners and bags and book storage areas and toilet and bath facilities for both students and teachers.
The students and parents also expressed their appreciation for the foundation of the new classroom block. They said that the block would provide them with a better learning environment and would help them to achieve their academic goals.
The commissioning of the 4-unit classroom block is just one of the many ways that the Dzata Foundation is working to improve the lives of underprivileged children in Ghana. The foundation also provides scholarships, school supplies, and other support to children in need.
The foundation is committed to making a difference in the lives of children and is working hard to create a better future for Ghana.
