Ghana Drunkards Association ‘suspends’ Akufo-Addo as President

Ghana Drunkards Association President Moses Onyeh, better known as Dry Bone has suspended Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo, the president of Ghana, for a period of two weeks.

The suspension aims to undo the President’s decision to raise alcohol taxes. This declaration was made by Dry Bone during an appearance on “the gumbe show,” a political talk show on TV XYZ.

As confirmed by the President of Ghana at his inaugural address, Dry Bone revealed that the President of Ghana is a genuine member of the Association.

He claimed that the suspension was necessary because the President’s decision to raise alcohol taxes was a betrayal of the Association.

The President won’t be able to consume any alcoholic beverages while celebrating Easter as a result of the suspension.

“We suspend him for two weeks during which period we expect him to reverse the decision, failure to do so, we shall revoke his membership by withdrawing his licence,” said Dry Bone.

The GDA President added that the organization’s 10.6 million members might have chosen to participate in a protest or tamper with their votes in any election, but doing either would have wasted the nation’s limited resources and jeopardized national security. As a result, it was decided to suspend the proud member.

“Our 10.6 membership weighs more than any political party membership in Ghana, and if we decide to demonstrate or spoil ballots, it will go against the nation so we suspend the President,” he added.
