Songezo Zibi launched Rise Mzansi, a people-centered political alternative to the failed political establishment, ahead of the 2024 national elections.

Zibi, a co-founder of the Rivonia Circle, made the announcement at the party’s launch on Constitution Hill in Johannesburg. He introduced the party’s ideals, its leadership, and its plans for the polls next year.\

Zibi said that the country was in its current state because good people and patriotic citizens had yielded the political space to those who did not deserve it. He said that the Rise Mzansi movement was born out of the brokenness of South Africans and their lack of hope.
