Theresie Nhirakajumba is an elderly woman who regrets having maintained her virginity for 123 years and wants to find a companion before she passes away.
Theresie explained why she doesn’t hang out with males in a video that Afrimax English posted on YouTube. She cited the customs of her town and her earlier dread of men as the reasons for this.
She claimed that when she was a child, ladies in her village were forbidden from socializing with males and it was considered improper for a woman to be seen with men.
“In all my life, I never had a husband. I am 123 years old. It is true that I am a virgin at my age. If I have had a husband, I would have some children but I don’t have any”, she said.
She continued by saying that due of her phobia of men, she never experienced affections for any of them and that she rejected all of the marriage proposals she received.
She claimed that she turned down each proposal because she felt unprepared for marriage and wanted to wait for the appropriate time.
“I didn’t want to engage with men. I had a strong fear for men and that prevented me from any potential relationship throughout my youth. I would see men coming to my hometown but I never developed a love for someone”, she said.
She claimed that by the time she recognized she was ready to get married, it was too late for her because she had reached old age and was no longer as desirable to men.
Theresie said that despite her advanced age, she is confident in her ability to meet a compatible partner and would accept a proposal from any man.

Of course, if I can find someone who is interested in me, I would not hesitate because there’s no woman who dislikes a caring man to comfort and care about her. If a man shows up, I would be ready to entertain the options. I know that my age is a big hindrance in a search for a man but I have refused to give up in a search for a good man who is willing to spend time with his time with me”, Theresie shared.
