WHO IS ABDULBAKI EROL?
He is the “sheikh” of the Menzil sect (Nakşibendi sect) headquartered in Adıyaman. Abdulbaki Erol was born on May 2, 1949 in Menzil Village of Kahta district in Adıyaman. His father is Sayyid Abdulhakim al-Huseyni.
When his older brother Seyyid Muhammed Raşid Erol (born 1930), who became a “sheikh” after his father, died on October 22, 1993, he became the “sheikh” of the Abdulbaki Erol Menzil sect.
Abdulbaki Erol is the “sheikh” of the Jamaat, which is known as the Menzil Sect, because it was founded in Menzil, a village in the Kahta district of Adıyaman province.
After the death of the founder of the Jamaat, his father Sayyid Abdulhakim al-Huseyni in 1972, the current leader of the sect, which expanded in the time of his brother Seyyid Muhammed Raşid Erol, on October 22, 1993, is Abdülbaki Erol.
WHAT WAS ABDÜLBAKİ EROL DISEASE?
It is said that Abdulbaki Erol is the 30th navel grandson of the Prophet Muhammad. He learned Arabic and religious sciences in the madrasah of his father in his village. He continued his education in Siirt and Van. He had tuberculosis at a young age and was sent to Ankara for treatment and recovered.
After the death of the founder of the Jamaat, his father, Sayyid Abdulhakim al-Huseyni, in 1972, the sect expanded during the time of his brother Seyyid Muhammed Raşid Erol, and upon his death on October 22, 1993, he became the sheikh of the sect.
ABDÜLBEKİ EROL PRIVATE LIFE
Abdulbaki Erol has seven children. Both are not alive. Of the 5 surviving caliphs, 2 are descendants of five sons. Their names are Sayyid Muhammed Saki and Sayyid Muhammed Fattah. Sayyid Abdulbaki Erol’s children are listed as follows;
