This initiative was a testament to her dedication to improving the health status of her community members. Her goal was to provide accessible healthcare services to those who might not have regular access to medical facilities, thereby addressing potential health issues and promoting early detection and prevention.

“As my birthday approached this year, I found myself contemplating how I could make a positive impact on the lives of those around me. While the usual birthday festivities are enjoyable, I felt a deeper desire to contribute to the well-being of my community. After brainstorming several ideas, I settled on the concept of a free health screening event targeting teachers within my community, Dormaa.” She stated.

Planning and executing a free health screening event of this magnitude required a significant amount of effort, collaboration, and support from various stakeholders. Fatima reached out to local health organizations, volunteers, and community leaders to help make her vision a reality. Together, they pooled resources, expertise, and time to ensure the event’s success. This collaborative effort not only highlighted the unity within the community but also showcased the impact that collective action can have in addressing local healthcare needs.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible support of these individuals; The Municipal Director of Dormaa, Mr. Stephen Nyarko Ameyaw, The Disease control officers, the Nutrition and Health promotion unit, the Auditor, the Mental Health Unit, the Public Health Nurse in charge Serwah Ayiwa and the Dental Unit of Dormaa Presbyterian Hospital. Also, my appreciation goes to all the heads of the invited schools, friends, media, and all individuals who played a pivotal role in turning our vision into reality. This post is a tribute to these generous souls who embraced the spirit of giving and made a lasting impact on our community.” Fatima continued.
