Greenwood is currently being linked with a move away from United, but neither a transfer or loan move has materialized yet for the former England international. A switch to the Serie A appears the most likely outcome, with Atalanta, Roma, and Juventus all registering their interest.

Greenwood has one England cap to his name, appearing as a substitute in a 1-0 away in Iceland back in September 2020. However, two days later he and Phil Foden were withdrawn from the squad after breaking Covid-19 quarantine guidelines.

He was unable to force his way back into the squad thereafter, although manager Gareth Southgate didn’t initially rule out a recall, saying: “He is in our thoughts, I’ve spoken with him and his club, he is a player we really like.”
